Power Gaming

If you read last week's article, you'd know that All About Power is one of our new weekly features where you get to know our players a little bit better. Each week we'll be asking our players a short question about anything and everything, and we'll post their answers up every Monday - although the eagle eyed readers will see that we've been forced to publish a day late this time. Whilst Ben was off in America at MLG Raleigh, I was at Reading Festival so for this week I thought it would be appropriate to ask "What music do you listen to? Who is your favourite artist (band/singer/DJ etc.)?"

plastE: I listen mostly rap, actually I listen all kind of music. If I have to mention some names, probably Eminem, Lil Wayne and Pendulum are on the top of my list.

cookye: My favourite bands/artists include: jimi hendrix, led zeppelin, creedence clearwater revival, clutchy hopkins, zero 7, david bowie, chris rea, the grass roots, the kinks, dio, black sabbath, john frusciante, mando diao, von hertzen brothers, rage against the machine, ramones, misfits, muse and the rolling stones.

Luboshmir: Trance & House - My favourite artists are Gareth Emmery & Andy Moor.

BUK 57: I listen to many different types of music to be honest, but recently I've been preferring Rap, RnB, Dance and DnB etc. But also listen to other genre\'s of music, which I have to admit some of my American friends help me with because of there is more choices of bands/artists out there seeing as we only get the mainstream music from the US. My favourite artist right now is Eminem, I\'m just loving his new Recovery Album. Also a mention to Pendulum and their last album Immerison.

FrosteR: I listen to almost all kinds of music so I dont really have one favorite artist. I mostly listen to songs that are in the top 40 but sometimes I listen to hardstyle and sometimes classical music as well. It just totally depends on my mood.
My favorite song however is "Somewhere over the rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, awesome song and the man\'s a legend!

tihOp: I usually listen to finnish/english underground rap/hiphop or reggae :) I don´t have any #1 artist in my mind but let´s say Snowgoons.

Luke: I listen to lots of things, other than eSports one of the things I do most is go to gigs. Most of the time I listen to indie / punk / riot grrrl though. I said above I was at Reading this weekend and the highlights there for me would be blink-182, The Libertines, Los Campesinos!, Weezer, Limp Bizkit, Paramore, HEALTH and Stagecoach. Other favourites of mine include Johnny Foreigner (you should definately check them out, I run a fansite at www.keepingsomedarksecrets.net), Why?, Xiu Xiu, Kenickie, Dananananaykroyd, Sleater-Kinney, Tubelord & Le Tigre.

natu: My music taste varies almost daily. It can be anything between rock, rap, rnb and popmusic pretty much. So I really can´t pick a certain band or artist that I´d dig the most. But I´ve listened to alot of Shinedown lately.

paradox-: I like every kind of music, but my favourite "styles" are trance/house and some electro (re)mixes. My favourite dj's/artists: Andy Moor, Dave Darell, Armin van Buuren and many many more ;].

BUK 20: This is always a tough one to answer! I like listening to Hip Hop, Pop, R&B, Drum and Bass and some dubstep every now and then. Only genre which I refuse to listen to really is screamo! Favourite artist at the moment would have to be Eminem or 3OH3! I can listen to their music all day... when I\'m not too busy listening to the Bed Intruder Song ;) Hide yer kids, Hide yer wife!

Ben: I\'m pretty picky when it comes to the music I listen, mainly enjoy listening to drum n bass & dubstep. I was not always this way, once upon a time I Iived on a musical diet consisting of limp bizkit and linkin park, but one sunny afternoon I had MTV2 on and discovered some sounds I'd never heard before, totally unique in every way, no longer was I part of the millions who adore manufactured groups/bands, I\'d discovered aphextwin and squarepusher and a whole new genre of music was discovered! I naturally progressed to dnb a few years later and now dabble in some dubstep :) I still occasionally listen to Oasis, depends on my mood or who I\'m with, the late 90s for me involved alot of Oasis!

MVP: Pretty much Oasis all day everyday. Tunes for every mood.

hocz: I mostly listen to bands like In Flames, Disturbed, Pain or anything that comes out of "Radio Rock" which is popular finnish radio channel. When I get sick of rocking my head off I listen to crappy songs from youtube like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wavpWRK6IX8
